i’m just another guy trying to make his way through life with God’s help…..livin’ in a ”girl world” with a wonderful wife, two beautiful daughters, and a crazy female Black Lab…..born and bred in east los angeles, i’m a second-generation mexico-americano and member of the baby-boom generation…..you can usually find me shaking hands, back-slapping, hugging, and joking as i circulate in public…..although i love people, my public personna reflects skills and disciplines i’ve developed over time…..i’m actually an introvert by temperament who finds refuge from the public stage in the world of ideas, imagination, and solitude…..i’ve always had a hunger to know how things work – often by taking them apart and reassembling them; how people, events, and things come together; and why people and things are what they are…..i enjoy discussions about vision and theories but at the end of the day, i don’t have much use for things that aren’t practical or pragmatic – things that don’t really make a difference in my life or the lives of others…..i’m a voracious reader, consumer of media, and student of culture who looks everywhere for inspiration and insight…i particularly love to reflect and teach on the Bible, looking through the lens of popular culture and history…..oh yeah, and i’m an avid golfer too!
